it is a little snowy today...

it is a little snowy on the front porch today and it is beautiful. i went out and shoveled to made it easier to get around. it took a little time but it will make a difference down the way.

we many times look at the excitement of life and the beauty and the fun and are thrilled with it but we don't always see the potential for harm in the beauty and excitement.

take the snow for instance. if i didn't shovel it it would potentially became ice and there is potential hurt in ice. i'm too tired to get up and shovel. i'll just let the sun take care of it but if you don't shovel the top to let the sun work at it's best the potential for harm to others is there.

some people think that there is no harm in doing what i want to in the moment but there are consequences that that the fun hides. that's where character comes in and that's where the HOLY SPIRIT comes in. that still-small-voice or right and responsibility speaks but the excitement of the other drowns out the still-small-voice. again that is where character comes in.

just some thoughts here on the snowy front porch.
