i want you to think of that one person that you're having the hardest time with in your life. somebody at work or somebody at home or at school. think of that person who is really giving you a difficult time.
now once you have them in your mind and you start to feel your blood rising, let me ask you two questions.
#1. what is your normal way of dealing with that person? review that in your mind. how do i normally respond to that person?
question #2. is it working? is it reducing the stress in your life or are they still really irritating you at that point.
there is a beautiful promise of GOD in proverbs. proverbs 16 verse 7 (niv), when a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, HE makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
isn't that a beautiful verse? it says when GOD looks down on my life and HE sees me responding and reacting to people in the manner that HE has laid out in his word and when my ways are pleasing to HIM, HE makes even my enemy shut up.
what a verse.
