The reason many of us are not growing in our lives
is because we have never said, this is what I'm going to be, to do. I encourage you to voice your
commitment. It's the beginning point of
growth.
Now some of you have done that. You have said that you have wanted to grow in
this area or that area. For many of you
the area that you really need to work on is the area of the cross, spiritual
growth, finding something that can feed your commitment. Find things where you can learn GOD's word
and feed that commitment.
Growth begins with a commitment. Romans 10:9 says that's where our CHRISTian
life begins, “If you confess with your mouth ‘JESUS is LORD,’ and believe in
your heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead, you will be saved.”
Why do we need to confess it with our mouth? GOD knows our heart better than anybody, why
do I have to say it? It's not for GOD's
sake, it's for my sake. HE knows what a
powerful thing, voicing a commitment can mean in life.
I'd like all to make this our testimony to GOD: “I will walk in my house in the integrity of
my heart.” Psalm 101:2. It begins with voicing a commitment. If you're not ready to make this commitment
maybe you need to begin with the verse that's above this and ask JESUS CHRIST
to become part of your life, confess HIM as LORD.
Just a thought from the front porch…
