vitality, vibrancy, energy, enthusiasm, and passion…

listen, GOD made you to live a passionate life.  GOD wants you to live with vitality.  with vibrancy.  with energy.  with enthusiasm.  with passion.   HE wants you to have this in your life.

in john 10.10 (new international reader’s version),  JESUS said, I have come in order that you can have life – life in all its fullness.

so why don’t most people enjoy life?  why don’t most people live a life of passion?

well, we are going to look here on bill’s front porch at some spiritual passion killers that we face and the first one is an unexamined life.

socrates said “an unexamined life is not worth living.”  before socrates said that the bible said in lamentations 3.40 (Gwt), let us look closely at our ways and examine them and then return to the LORD.

now it’s a good practice regularly in your life to pull aside, to be still long enough to ask yourself the questions, how am i doing?  where am i going?  is my life on track of where i think GOD wants me to go?

many of you like to watch nascar.  we are getting close to the daytona 500.  now if you go to Daytona or watch it on tv you will see them out racing close to 180 miles an hour, going full out but every once in a awhile they will pull in for a pit stop.  they will check the tires, fill the tank up with gas and then send them out again.

you need the same thing.  you need a time in your life when you pull back from the pace and the speed of life to just let GOD speak to you and be open to what GOD wants to say to you.  i think the beginning of a new year is a good time to do that.

one of the things that is going to happen is, GOD’s going to replenish your soul.

just a thought from the front porch…
