paul talking about our growing and changing as CHRIST followers in philippians 2.13 (ms) says, so be energetic in your life of salvation and then he shows where that energy comes from, that energy is GOD's energy, an energy deep within you, GOD HIMself willing and working.
GOD is the energizer for change in your life. HE will give you the power to do what you want to do, need to do, and know what is right to do. HE will empower you, energize you. and that is great to realize.
HE will give you the will power and the ability. HE'll give you the desire and the capability to change. we are not on our own if we have a personal relationship with HIM.
now one of the ways HE does this is found in 2 timothy 3.16-17 (ms), every part of scripture is GOD-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live GOD's way. through the word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks GOD has for us.
the bible changes our thoughts so it changes us. that is so important for us to understand. if you want to get serious about change, you need to get into the book. read it, study it, memorize it, and meditate on it, live it in your life. the more you get the word of GOD in your life, the more you're going to be changed.
people say, "i don't have any faith." "are you reading the bible?" they say, "no." what do they expect? the bible says, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD.
GOD energizes you through HIS word.
