Just admit it…

Confess regularly. Admit when you're wrong.  Here is a poem by Ogden Nash:

To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the loving cup
When you're wrong, admit it
And when you're right, shut up.

Every time I've violated either side of that there's been trouble.  Both of those are important.  When you're wrong admit it.  Admit it to the people you're in relationship with.  James talks about doing that.  James 5:16 (LB), "Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other."

Isn't telling our faults to GOD enough?  Do we have to ask for other's permission to be forgiven too?  No GOD's the one who forgives us, they're not the ones who gives us forgiveness.  But in order to restore our relationship with them, we need to talk to them about what happened.

Just a thought from the front porch…
